About Lesson
Create New Test User (If you havent created one yet)
- Login to your Salesforce Developer Org
- Navigate to Setup->Users->User Click on the “New Users” Button
- Input your information like Firstname, LastName, Alias, Email (Real Email Address), Username (Use a Fake Email Address Format eg SalesAgent@generalestate.com), etc
- on the right, Select Profile Name “Field Sales Agent”, User Profile “Salesforce” and Role Name “Estate Sales Agent”
Install Salesforce Mobile App (If not already Installed)
- Navigate in your mobile phone to Google play store or Apple Appstore.
- Search and install the Salesforce Mobile App.
- Once installation is complete, open app and login with the new credentials you created from above illustration.
- in the mobile app navigate to Menu ->Leads
Test Illustration: You scout for customers on the Street/Mall/University premises then you meet a prospect who obliges you to collect his/Her contact information based on his/her interest in the Landed Asset that the Sales Agent’s Company is selling. The Sales Agent performs the following actions to capture the lead/Prospect;
- Opens Salesforce Mobile app -> Navigates to Menu->Leads then clicks on “New” at the upper left of Mobile App.
- The Sales Agent asks Lead/Prospect for First-name, Last name, Phone and Email Address, which is captured using the mobile App.
- If Lead/Prospect does not select Product of Interest then the following happens;
- Sales Agents Saves the Lead Record inside Salesforce as a Lead.
- Next day or Next Week the Sales Agent changes the lead record to “Working” then and then Calls the Lead and acts on it if the following happens;
- If the lead agrees to any Landed Asset offered then the Sales Agent Updates the Product of Interest and Converts the Lead to an Opportunity
- If the Lead is not interested or not sure which landed asset to pick then the Sales Agent Updates the Status to “Not Converted” or “On-Hold”.
- If the Prospect/Lead immediately indicates the Land he/she is interested in immediately, then the Sales agent immediately updates the Landed asset in”Product of Interest” Field and converts Lead to Opportunity.
