Estate CRM New Customer Journey
The Salesforce Admin has several meetings with the Heads for Sales Operation, Customer Service and Finance Operations and the generated the following customer on-boarding and Instalment management journeys; 1) Sales Agent collects customer information in Salesforce App 2) Sales Agent Follows up with Prospect by calling, if Customer Agrees to move forward, Sales agent converts lead to opportunity 3) Quotation Stage: Sales Agent sends a quotation to customer via email, if customer agrees quote, the Sales agent advise customer to make first instalment (deposit). 4) Deposit Stage: Sales agent outlines duration of instalment and how much the customer pays at first instalment, the customer makes payment and sends receipt. 5) Agreement Stage: An agreement email is sent to the customer stating the first deposit, monthly instalment and total asset cost. 6) Instalment Stage: Each Instalment is sent to Finance Team email (finance@estate.com), the finance team uploads payment each receipt to the instalment object till instalment is complete.

About Lesson

Create New Test User (If you havent created one yet)

  1. Login to your Salesforce Developer Org
  2. Navigate to Setup->Users->User Click on the “New Users” Button
  3. Input your information like Firstname, LastName, Alias, Email (Real Email Address), Username (Use a Fake Email Address Format eg SalesAgent@generalestate.com), etc
  4. on the right, Select Profile Name “Field Sales Agent”, User Profile “Salesforce” and Role Name “Estate Sales Agent”

Install Salesforce Mobile App (If not already Installed)

  1. Navigate in your mobile phone to Google play store or Apple Appstore.
  2. Search and install the Salesforce Mobile App.
  3. Once installation is complete, open app and login with the new credentials you created from above illustration.
  4. in the mobile app navigate to Menu ->Leads

Test Illustration: You scout for customers on the Street/Mall/University premises then you meet a prospect who obliges you to collect his/Her contact information based on his/her interest in the Landed Asset that the Sales Agent’s Company is selling. The Sales Agent performs the following actions to capture the lead/Prospect;

  1. Opens Salesforce Mobile app -> Navigates to Menu->Leads then clicks on “New” at the upper left of Mobile App.
  2. The Sales Agent asks Lead/Prospect for First-name, Last name, Phone and Email Address, which is captured using the mobile App.
  3. If Lead/Prospect does not select Product of Interest then the following happens;
    1. Sales Agents Saves the Lead Record inside Salesforce as a Lead.
    2. Next day or Next Week the Sales Agent changes the lead record to “Working” then and then Calls the Lead and acts on it if the following happens;
      1. If the lead agrees to any Landed Asset offered then the Sales Agent Updates the Product of Interest and Converts the Lead to an Opportunity
      2. If the Lead is not interested or not sure which landed asset to pick then the Sales Agent Updates the Status to “Not Converted” or “On-Hold”. 
  4. If the Prospect/Lead immediately indicates the Land he/she is interested in immediately, then the Sales agent immediately updates the Landed asset in”Product of Interest” Field and converts Lead to Opportunity.
  5. End of Test
